Since 2015, our company has been specializing in creating high-quality ceramic mugs, so we would like to share how a ceramic mug is made.
It all starts with clay

Clay preparation: the first step in making a ceramic mug is to prepare the clay, which involves mixing the clay with water to create a workable consistency.

Shape it
Molding is the process used to shape the raw clay into the form of a mug.
Make it durable
After the clay is molded into shape, it is dried to remove any excess moisture. Once dry, it is placed in a kiln and fired at a low temperature. The heat hardens the clay and makes it more durable.
Biscuit firing is an essential step in producing ceramics: it gives the clay strength, makes it less brittle, and prepares it for glazing.

Glaze firing fixes the glaze to the mug’s surface at a high temperature (around 1280°C). The heat melts the glaze and bonds it to the ceramic. This process is also known as “glost firing.” It gives the surface a glossy finish, makes it more resistant to wear and tear, and allows a wide range of colors and finishes.
Make it personal
Each design is printed onto decal paper. The decal is soaked in water, slid onto the mug, and smoothed to remove air bubbles. Once dry, a thin layer of transparent glaze is applied and the mug is fired again to make the design permanent.

Make it a gift
We care about the whole experience, not only the mug. Every mug is packed in its own gift box with protective foam, so it arrives in perfect condition and is ready to give. It’s the little details like this that set Triple Gifffted apart.
Control the quality
An independent inspection company evaluates the quality and safety of our ceramic mugs before they are shipped to customers. The inspection checks for defects in the ceramic, confirms the mugs meet safety and health standards, and verifies they match our specifications.

Food-grade testing
Our mugs are tested for food-contact safety, including lead and cadmium release. See the tests we perform.
